Executive Presentation Skills Print E-mail
  • When you make presentations, does your body language communicate leadership?
  • Do you deliver your content with passion and authenticity and inspire your audiences to think and act in certain ways?
We help senior executives elevate their leadership
presence when making presentations.

Executive presentation opportunities take many forms in daily business life. Executives must be prepared to communicate leadership every time they speak -- whether formally or informally and whether from a podium in a crowed auditorium or across a small conference room. A presentation’s content must be engaging, succinct and compelling. Its delivery must communicate the speaker’s mastery and poise. The end result must motivate the audience to think differently and take action.

During this half-day intensive skills development session, senior executives learn how to increase the leadership quotient in their presentations by:

  • focusing on certain verbal and non-verbal techniques that inspire trust and confidence
  • crafting messages for maximum clarity, consistency and persuasive impact
  • using – or not using – visual aids such as charts, videos and PowerPoint to galvanize a performance rather than distract from it
  • developing a winning attitude through intensive practice and continuous feedback

We also work with individual executives to help overcome particular obstacles to effective presentations, including physical disability, non-mastery of English, heavy accent, and fear of public speaking.

The session requires participants to make a presentation they have prepared beforehand. After assessing the executive’s baseline skills, our Fellows will coach on effective presentation technique and work participants through a series of successively more focused drills and feedback designed to enhance the presenter’s leadership presence. The entire session is videotaped for playback during the session and to provide a record of the executive's increasing skill and presence.

Our Fellows are accomplished speakers who give numerous public and private presentations. We demonstrate the techniques we teach and live the discipline we coach.

We have prepared hundreds of CEOs, CFOs and other senior executives to give presentations for:

  • senior management team meetings
  • board meetings
  • bondholders, shareholders, and analyst meetings
  • community group meetings
  • town-hall meetings
  • videoconferences
  • new business pitches
  • investment community conference calls
  • performance evaluation meetings
  • congressional testimony
  • national political conventions
  • many other types of executive presentations
