Business Ethics

  • Does your organization understand applicable ethical standards and do your people act accordingly?
  • Do your organization’s activities meet your stakeholders’ expectations for ethical behavior?
We help our clients achieve their goals more responsibly.

Business ethics include the standards of professional conduct that govern a company, industry, or profession. An organization’s key stakeholders – including society at large – may have even greater expectations for ethical behavior by an organization and its people. When organizations fail to meet any of those standards, reputational harm is sure to follow.

We study best practices in business ethics and in the related fields of corporate responsibility, socially-responsible investing, and communication ethics.

Our Fellows help clients understand the nature and scope of the ethical standards applicable to their organizations, especially the standards and procedures they choose to apply to themselves. Based on our considerable expertise in the area of corporate responsibility, we advise our clients on ethical decision-making, ethical standards, and codes of conduct. We also:

  • conduct compliance workshops and war-games
  • facilitate departmental meetings to test a workforce’s level of understanding of its existing ethical standards
  • help develop enhanced ethics and compliance programs

More fundamentally, we help our clients develop a pattern of behaving and communicating responsibly beyond simple compliance with codes, regulations and procedures.
