Crisis Communication

  • How well does your organization communicate in a crisis?
  • Can you respond rapidly, quell rumors, and tell your own story on your own terms?
We help our clients develop crisis communication that wins and keeps the confidence and trust of critical constituencies when things go wrong.

Communicating effectively in a crisis means being able to tell your story clearly, comprehensively and compellingly — on your own terms. Companies that fail to communicate nimbly and strategically suffer harm — often irreparable — to their reputations and the bottom line.

Our approach to crisis communication is distinctive: we counsel our clients to focus strategically on the communication outcomes they desire and the optimal ways to achieve them. We help clients understand communications best practices and become habitually strategic in using an integrated communication structure – and not just individual tactics such as news releases, e-mails and press conferences – to influence stakeholder attitudes, emotions and behaviors. We also assist them in influencing and engaging their senior leadership to communicate in ways that are both meaningful and timely in a crisis.
